This is the dress I want to recreate. I just measured the silk I dyed and...it's a bit short. Now, I might still be able to make it work but I think I'm just going to give up, spend the the $3 for more yellow dye, and go with that. I still have a lot of the fabric so it's not a huge deal.

I've been trying to figure out how the straps go on the dress but in every shot they are hidden right where I need to see so my guess is that they are sewn into the bodice and not actually cut out with the main part of the bodice. It's really hard to tell.

The fabric of the skirt is more pleated towards the back than the front. You can see a bit of the pleats along the side and back in that link. Warning, the image is LARGE. I've been trying to find really big photos like this to see the details. Of course, in every single photo, the shoulder straps are obscured some how. Another example of a lot of pleats towards the back.

This is a top down look at the bodice and the straps are "bent" at the edge of the bodice but...you still can't see if they are continuous with the bodice or not. Agh! Too bad the puffy sleeves are in the way.

Great detail on the appliques but once again, the straps are obscured.

So I'm going to attach the straps as something separate and not part of the fabric in the front bodice. ...Why does every shot have to be obscured on this point? Seriously...

Thank you! (The link was broken on your website to the album last night)

If you want, I bought the appliques online - they aren't exact because a lot of the "appliques" on the dress are actually cut outs of the yellow Kravet fabric. I'm using these (http://www.ebay.com/itm/140740687453?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649) for the butterflies and this (http://www.ebay.com/itm/130466901248?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649) plus this (http://www.ebay.com/itm/140451575197?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649) for the flowers. The seller was good and she got me the appliques within a couple of days of payment.

I noticed that this morning - I'll go fix it!

I think I'm going to try to cut my appliques out of the fabric, but if that doesn't go well, thank you for the resources!!
