isabelladangelo: (Fabric)
I have a lot of half way done projects lying on the sewing room floor right next to the repair pile. The Neapolitian jacket, the regency dress, the linen chemise, the neapolitian gold gown, and now the Snow White dress are all in various states of being put together. I think I can finish the jacket before I leave and maybe Miss Ginsie's outfit but everything else is on hold.

I decided to go with a late 1570's/early 1580's look for the Snow White outfit. It's open front, cobalt blue velvet(een) with a yellow satin forepart and red satin sleeves. I also found some scrumptious not quite correct but super cool linen blend fabric at Joanns to make the shift out of. It's white linen with a coral red floral embroidery. I think I'll make the Italian style high neck shift from that time so it has a little bit of a ruffled open collar.

I also got some really nice Linen/cotton blend at Joanns and uncut corduroy. Their corduroy is on sale for something like $3.69 a yard. This includes the uncut stuff which looks like velvet form a distance and velveteen upclose. It's only on sale through today but it tends to go on sale every six months or so. (I bought a bunch last time too)

So, this week I'll be in Colorado. See at least a few of you on Saturday!
