Nephew loves Fiber Arts! Yay!
Aug. 29th, 2011 01:41 pmI asked over on Ravelry but I'll ask the LJ braintrust as well - do y'all
know of any good roving to give a 3 year old who wants to hand spin yarn
like his aunt?
Marxer loved watching Aunt Sissy do things like sew, knit, and spin. He
thought spinning was completely and totally awesome. (His exact phrase was,
"That's so cool Aunt Sissy!") I told him I have an extra spindle at home
that he can play with and I'd bring it for him. Although I think he'll
just use it as a spinning top more than anything else -which is fine- I'm
trying to figure out what roving would be easy for a 3 year old to grab and
make "yarn".
I'm going to try and teach him crochet next because that is easy and
something I learned at his age. He might actually make things with that.
Like necklaces for his Mom. ;-)
