I can play too!!!!

I saw so many other people on my f-list talking about charlesii and making pretty Restoration gowns that I decided to jump in too. :-) I won't be at any Bay Area events and I doubt I'll make it to Costume College but I will be at Costume Con so I can at least wear my gown there, right?

I picked Mary of Modena for a few reasons but mainly because she's Roman Catholic in a time that it was very unpopular to be Roman Catholic in England and she's Italian. I love everything about this gown she wears in that portrait. You can only see the upper half but it looks like this might be the same or at least a similar gown in that portrait. However both are a bit later than I like. I might try to use those colors for something a few years earlier. I have a thing for wearing large amounts of dark reds/pinks.

The best part of all of this is Miss Ginsie can play a part too! *squee*

::giggles:: Does Ginsie counts has half a victim given that she is a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel (mix)? If nothing else, she does count as my first period accessory for this ensemble, right?
