Although these are clearly not medieval, despite the website claims, I think they would make super-fabulous "companion" dresses a la Firefly. Hmm...when is the next con around here?

nope, no weddings. Just looking up stuff for a story I am writing and came across those dresses. :-)

They specifically call them Pre-Raphaelite, which means that they are gowns from the 19C medieval reenactment world, and that is certainly what they look like. I've seen many similar gowns at medieval reenactments of the Victorian era (and I won't even mention my long-held belief that the early SCA was a modern reenactment of the Victorian reenactment of the Middle Ages).
