Bought more fabric...

Fabric.com gave me another 20% off coupon and I had been eyeing this fabric because it looks like the color of a bubble. I have no idea what I'm going to do with it. I'm going between a bliaut or maybe a kirtle. Two very different centuries but ...it looks like a bubble! *giggles*

I ordered 3 yards of it and I also got a yard and a half of this pretty green blue silk that I'm thinking for a middle class doublet? I know it's slubby but I think I can work with it and maybe add some decoration/trim to the doublet to really make it look neat.

But, a warning to anyone else that happens to be up at 3 in the morning and decides you really do need that fabric (because it looks like a bubble!), check which address you are sending it to. I accidentally sent it to Mom's....it asked for Home! :-D

Okay, I just LOVE the bubble fabric! You could do a fun Victorian fancy dress costume as a BUBBLE!

Oh what a good idea! The first thing that came to mind was the bubble wrap dress Demode pointed out this week. I mean if you are going to do it, might as well go for it. :> My bubbles!

Hmm... you mean like a bustle bubble (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v21/basje/1877.jpg)? I'd need a contrast fabric since I only have three yards. Maybe some fuchsia teal silk?

Oh! This one! (https://www.fabric.com/home-decor-fabric-dupioni-silk-fabric-reorderable-colors-of-dupioni-silk-fabric-dupioni-silk-fabric-iridescent-heather.aspx) Maybe the bustle front and the bodice out of it?
