Ever After Gold Gown Progress

The bodice was the hard part. It looks long right now because I haven't attached the skirts and the very broken dress dummy isn't as defined in her measurements as I am. I should finish this dress tomorrow and have some picture worthy progress on the Arwen Requiem gown then as well.

For the bodice, I had to figure out how to make the front crossover crossover without creating an entirely separate gown. The movie gown laces up the back and the crossover in the front is just for decoration. Really, it's far more complicated than they would have done in the early 16th C. Still, I want to have a recognizable gown and that means copying the movie as closely as possible.
