Pictures of the mid-16th century gown

This is the full mid 16th c gown. It ended up looking more Italian than Elizabethan. Oh well... I might eventually do the puffs on the shoulder straps but, for now, I'm sticking with the plain straps. The gown is NOT that shiny either. It's really very matte but the stupid flash kept making it look shiny. The skirt is split in the front and I do plan on wearing it with a red velvet forepart. Although a pink velvet forepart would also look nice...hmm...

This is a close up of the bodice. I dare y'all to guess the material. :-)
