Joanns sale find!

Joanns is having a major sale today. I got to use a lot of coupons (the lovely 50% off kind) and ended up with muslin (I know, boring), some sort of dead dino that is black with flocked velvet in a lovely damask pattern (forepart, I think), and a linen/cotton true tissue weight papyrus colored fabric. It's 60% linen, 40% cotton and I bought what was left on the bolt. I think I got 8 3/4 yards for $40 or so. It is some fabulous looking stuff. The color really is papyrus looking and the fabric is very very light. I'm thinking a couple new chemises for Pennsic.

Pictures later, hopefully!

That explains why it was so crazy in there and the line was 10 deep when I walked out w/o buying anything... I didn't have another hour to spend.

Yeah, the sale is pretty big in terms of the amount of coupons they sent out. Luckily, at the Joanns I went to, they had a system. You picked a number and when your number was called, they cut your fabric. Made things a LOT saner.

Ooh I wonder if my Jo-Anns would have any thing like that linen-cotton... I guess I know where I'm going after dinner. :>

The Joanns I've been to typically carry some sort of linen/cotton but I haven't seen this before. Maybe it's new and all the Joanns will be carrying it? One can hope! It's the lightest stuff I've ever seen, period. I really can't wait to make a chemise out of it.
