Lost and Found

IMG-20111118-00150

So, this sweet little guy is amazing around Miss Ginsie, totally wants to be around a human (he slept curled up against my back last night), and is very clearly trained. I know someone is missing him.

Given that, I've searched craigslist and put up a found ad. I called up the non-emergency police to which I got a "No, no one called here about a lost cat. *click*" Uh, seriously? You don't want my phone in case someone does call up this morning? I also called animal control and the animal shelter to leave messages. He's perfectly fine here but I know someone else is missing him and probably frantically trying to figure out who to call and what to do.

I don't think I can do much more. I'll look around the neighborhood for lost cat flyers and up at the grocery store especially. We have a community board up there. I'm sort of hesitant to post a "Found" cat poster since anyone can claim that he's theirs. Like I said, I put one up on craigslist but not with a lot of detail beyond gray striped cat.

Because of the cat, I may not make it to Holiday Faire. I really want to make finding this poor guy's owner my priority.

It's very likely you won't. Very nice cats are abandoned for all sorts of reasons. If animal control or the animal shelter (best bet) don't have a message, you likely have inherited a cat. That's how I ended up with my kitty. :-)

:-) That's probably true. And I don't mind -I'll need to come up with a good name for him- but I know how I would feel if Miss Ginsie escaped and I couldn't find her.

You'd probably call the places you've already called, and post something at the grocery store, and maybe check Craig's list? If they want to reach out, they will.

Congratulations, you're a real seamstress now. You can't be a real seamstress without a cat messing with your fabric. ;-)

Lol! He does seem to have a thing for fleece thus far...
