More Sewing Progress and Ginsie update

I've finished the channels in the stays! I ran out of pink thread last night -well, hot pink thread. I do have petal pink, rose pink, and about ten different other pinks but not hot pink. This afternoon after work, I ran over to Joanns, only got thread (for once, I didn't buy anything else!) and worked on the side and back pieces. Now to add the boning and attach the binding. It will be a very interesting turquoise with hot pink binding pair of stays...

In other news...

I finally found a forum/group regarding epilepsy that has been extremely helpful. Since Ginsie can't talk, I really have incredibly little idea as to how to help her other than give her meds and watch her. I've tried to talk to people with epilepsy before -either in RL or online- and attempt to get answers to some questions like the very basic "Does it hurt?" to What helps/hinders getting out of a seizure and the "Dorthy mode" she goes into. In the past, I've never gotten a decent answer.

With the new forum they have all be ridiculously helpful. I'm switching Ginsie's food thanks to a link one of the ladies gave me. (I knew the food I had been giving her wasn't the best but I had no idea what to switch her too. Thanks to the link, I now know what to look for in dog foods. The new dog food is about $28 for a 15 pound bag and I can order it on Amazon which means free shipping.) They've also given me ideas on how to help her in the future -like giving her aspirin after a seizure- so it's been a great group to find!

Outside of that, Ginsie is doing okay. Her right eye seems to be producing some tears with the new medication. I have to be careful and not put too much eye lubricant in it or it makes matters much worse. The vet said to put the lubricant in three times a day but once a day seems to work without many issues. Three times a day, with the medication for her eye, was just making her eye look awful.

The vet should call me tomorrow and tell me about the new medication for Ginsie's epilepsy. I really hope it works. From what I read, it has little to no side affects and works well for pups like Miss Ginz. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Why use aspirin after a fit? I'm only asking because my 16 yr old son has epilepsy and we are always trying new things.
