Eleanor Dress Problems Part Two

Before and After. It looks a bit better but it's still bugging me.

I have but two tips for this kind of decoration.

1. If at all possible restrain the trim with glue, zigzag machine basting, hand basting, or all three before sewing it down.
2. For future reference, the easiest approach to decorating a bodice is often to mark the outline of the pieces on fabric, embellish, and then cut and sew-- but you've probably worked that out on your own by now :-)

Personally, I'd rip it out -- either that or open the seam and tuck it into the seam and then resew the seam.

I second florentinescot's suggestion to open the seam and tuck the ends in. You will still need to find a way to stop the trim fraying though, because it will continue to fray right through the seam eventually.
