The DOW gown and what happened.
Oct. 24th, 2005 01:23 pmWell, Saturday night happened. And for those that weren't there...or can't remember and have blocked it from your memories, we were all supposed to be seated at 8. All 50 us. All 50 of us weren't seated until 9. I left at 10. I got home around 11:15. The gown was only half way done. I had planned on finishing it when I got home but to no avail.
When I woke up on Sunday...well...bias tape and velvet turned against me. If I'm lucky, I'll just finish it this week and maybe, just maybe, wear it to PA renn fest. This is HIGHLY unlikely at this point because I'm now on night shift. But, if enough people offer me chocolates and roses to come...then I might. :-)
Sunday was fun although a LOT of people looked confused and lost. And no, I don't just mean the odd costumes. I was trying to introduce my Mom whom I finally got to come and people just kinda went "Oh" and left. Honestly, a couple of people where just plain rude! However, there were some others that were their perfectly normal non-lost happy selves and were very sweet to talk to as always.
I went to the Gypsy Wagon and did get a good reading. I'm not going to go into much detail but it was a mixture of some stuff I didn't want to hear but needed to hear. At the very least, I know that I'm finally on the right path again...or so the stones say. :-)
So, anyways, the DOW gown was a dud simply because I have no time anymore! I wore my Padme Peacock gown with the green cape gown over it to keep warm! It seemed a lot of people liked the hat....a 1940's vintage blue velvet one. :-)
