Can't sew until Thursday

At least not with a machine... I managed to take both of my broken sewing machines over to the repair place today. He promised to fix them by thursday since I need them back. Turns out, the guy that owns the repair place knows a lot of the same people I do. :-)

Until then, I learned how to knit a sock. It looks umm...interesting but it does look like a sock. I'm sure that I will fix a lot of the mistakes I made when I make a uh....somewhat matching sock. If anyone wants a picture of this interesting sock, just ask. I might sell it on ebay next month for the fun of it... Maybe a title of "Lonely mis-fit sock needs home!"

I've almost finished the overtunic for the 11th c gown. For some reason the guys at the office have no idea what a tunic is. I think they must have fallen asleep in History class. Yes, I sew at work. I'm on the night shift. No one cares. In fact, one of my bosses bought me a book on knitting for Christmas last year. :-)
