On the twelfth day of Pennsic prep,
I did rush to see and find,
Twelve gowns a' swishin',
Eleven yards of piping,
Ten days I'm staying,
Nine hats for wearing,
Eight rugs for walking,
Seven quilts for sleeping,
Six bags for packing,
Five days left!
Four chemises for fixing,
Three skirts for hemming,
Two missing earrings,
And a pavillion in the back seat!

Okay, so it's not a pavillion...but I'm pretty much at the point where I'm going bonkers. I've managed to fix up all my chemises, almost all mine gowns, and have set up a stageing area...only to find more gowns that need old rings ripped out and replaced. yes, I realize that is something that can be done at Pennsic and not to fret over it but the one I just found is the fifth gown I have that needs "ring work" or "eyelet work". grrr...

Realizing there is no way I'm going to get all the repairs done to my gowns and finish fixing up the cot, I went out and bought a nice little air matteress. I got an Eddie Bauer air matteress with a micro suede top and an automatic air pump. It's really ncie for all of $22 at Target.

I also got some various supplies to make another french hood. I want one to match my pink tudor gown so I got pink felt, some silver trim, and some really cute diamond looking rhinestones. This should match the gown at least halfway decently.

I also finally found some garden edging. I don't think I've previously written in LJ about my idea. I wanted some of the old fashioned aluminium garden edging, about 4" or bigger, so I could create a relativly cheap perameter inside my tent to keep rain out. I've heard of many creative ways to keep the rain out of pavillions and marquees that don't have floors including getting a very big tarp and taping the sides up to create a mini wall. I'm basically playing off that idea and just using garden edging instead.

In other news, I heard I *might* be transfered to B'more. I really hope and pray so. I'd get a NORMAL schedual!
