A lady posted this in one of the LJ costuming communities. I just must share because, although 18th c is not my expertise, I know the difference between the early 1700's and a bloody 1870's ~ early 1880's ball gown! I can also tell the difference between "mens" clothing and "womens" clothing. (Okay, so I dress up in Men's 18th c clothing one a year but that's because I like my pirate outfit!)
