Honestly, good for this Dad. Given the situation, I can't say I would have acted much differently. Basically, his daughters called him up, scared, and he waited for the guy to make a SECOND pass before pulling the trigger, obviously fearing for his family's safety.
Yes, the daughters *should* have called up the police as well and let the police handle it but when you are THAT scared you normally aren't thinking straight and you call the person who you know, instictively, will protect you the most. In this case, it was their Dad.

I've seen and heard of many people who ask "How the heck did you find that? Whenever I search, I never find anything like that" Most of the time, in my case, it's in association with fabric or accessories I find online. Despite the large (volumes!) amount of fabric I have, I rarely spend more than a few dollars a yard on any of it. It's not that I have some magically powers that enable me to find great pieces at very low prices, it's all how you conduct your searches.
