Some sewing updates

The Roomba purple gown is almost finished being cut out. I'm not sure if I want to use the pretty white and gold trim or just get some black velvet trim for it. It shouldn't take long.

The Eleanor gown is almost done in terms of emboridery. I might finish it tonight. Assuming that laundry, packing, and driving over to Mom and Dad's for the night doesn't make me crazy. If it does, friday night.

I took out the "lace" knitting I posted about a week ago and started a shawl in the same pattern. I've been working on it while taking the metro (subway, tube, take you prefered word for a train that goes underground in a urban area). A couple of little girls loved watching me and looking at the start of the shawl the other day. It was really cute.

My mini rant

I love Highland River Melees. It's a fun event and I like the area. The problem I have with it is that, despite the fact it's in a city park, despite the fact it's open to the public, despite the fact that on the Hager house website it's being billed at a Renaissance Festival, and despite the fact there are doggie clean up stations all around the site, they don't allow dogs. Yes, this rant again. ( don't say I didn't warn ya )
