Political post

I've been reading all about how "mad" people are about the whole "impeachment" story not getting any press. (I probably should point out I'm as conservative as them come. I have problems with a person whose wife refers to 75% of the American public as "whities" and whose pastor seriously believes that "white people" genetically created AIDs to get rid of the black population but that's a topic for another day.) Honestly, I just shrug. There are plenty of stories that don't get covered that conservatives would love to hear more about (like this: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/06/080609124551.htm because it helps to go against a lot of the current liberal global warming beliefs. There's a big difference between environmentalist and conservationist. I'm a conservationist, but that, again, is a topic for another day.).

Back to sewing and silliness now

I did get the main part of the partlet done last night. It really came out a lot better than I thought it would. I need to trim the edges off a couple of inches because I made it too wide (far better than making it too small), but other than that, it should be done pretty soon.
My computer crashed three times yesterday. It's just sad. The problem is it's a hodgepodge of hard drives, processor, and fan that were never meant to go together. I got it to work but it over heats very easily...which isn't fun in the summer. I do have a good a/c in the sewing/computer room but I just can't justify having it on 8 all day long through the summer just to play Civ3 (yes, I know they have Civ4) for a few hours (rather than sewing like I should).
In random news, I heard 90% of all packets passed for promotion. Here's me keeping my fingers crossed that I'm in that 90%.
Purple dress tonight and then back to the Eleanor dress.
