At the old work place today
Sep. 3rd, 2008 11:41 amI'm just here for the day. Getting comp time and all that. Given that I'm going to be here until 8 or so tonight, I brought a couple of projects. One is my 18th C stays I have yet to finish and the other is the pretty teal/purple/pink blanket that I started to knit and never finished. So, around 3 or 4, I'll go into "Really, I'm just a warm body today" mode and start sewing or knitting while diligently watching the phone and waiting for it to ring. (Let's all pray it doesn't, okay?)
The stays. They are red and green silk and I started on them back in Feb, I guess? I haven't touched them all summer and really need to finish them up soon. I really want to start on my latest idea but I can't until I get exact meaurements of the finished stays.
The blanket. I have enough yarn to make a nice big square. It won't be enough for a blanket but that's why I have more matching yarn (not the same, but the purple goes with the purple in the yarn I have, the aqua/teal goes with the aqua/teal in the yarn I have, ect.). Eventually, I should have another simple blanket that I can take with me to Pennsic.
EDIT: Some more random stuff, I bought a couple of books. I pre-ordered PoF 4 and I bought Blackwork. The latter should be here today or tomorrow. I need to update Library Thing later this week....
