More Random Stuff
Sep. 12th, 2008 11:49 amI need to finish the Neapolitian jacket, start Miss Ginsie's outfit for Baronial Birthday, and finish a couple of more dresses before Halloween.
Miss Ginsie will be dec'd out in a purple and black wool "Apron dress" with a linen faux undertunic. I have some trim she picked out that will go beautifully and a small pair of brooches with a chain. Move over Viking Kitties! Here comes Viking Puppy!
I want to work on a black wool and red silk outfit prior to birthday as well, but I'm not sure that will get done. What will get done is my Regency dress and my Snow White outfit for Day of Wrong. I got the velveteen fabric yesterday and it's perfect. It's just the color I wanted and it's clearly cotton velveteen (which is what I thought from the photos. The guy wasn't sure if it was velvet or not). I'm going to do a simple 1560's/1570's silouhette with capped sleeves. I have red satin sleeves that are pinked that should work with the dress and plenty of yellow fabric still left over from the Picnic Dress years ago. So, I need to get that cut out and sewn up before Oct 18.
My plans so far are to go to the Renn Fest in the morning of Day of Wrong and then head over to Baronial Birthday in the afternoon and for Feast. We'll see how that turns out.
Who else is going to Mount Vernon on Sunday?
