Black cotton lawn for the underdress and dark orange taffeta for the robe...would that look too weird for Regency? Should I stick with basic white/off-white for the underdress? I'm going for right about 1800....
I think I'll join the steampunk Day of Wrong crowd this Saturday. I need to finish up my denim bustle skirt though.
The teal didn't come out as dark as I would like for Mom's coat. I'm going to get a few more bottles of dye and try again tonight. At any rate, Ginsie loves the fabric. She decided it made a perfect bed. It's just the cotton/poly brocade I got at Pennsic. The bolt of twenty gazillion yards? I figured out when I washed it that it wasn't pure cotton. I'm thinking a 65% cotton 35% poly mix which still isn't that bad for the material. But, it does mean that dying it is a bit difficult...
