Random Truck Update
Feb. 24th, 2010 08:43 pmSo, yesterday morning, I turn on the truck and see the brake light on. Not a big deal until I take the emergency brake off and the light is still on. I try to fiddle with the emergency brake but, no, it's off. I drive out of the parking lot in front of my house and yeah, the brake is really off. So, I figure I'll go to work and have it checked out later.
Mysteriously, the light disappeared today. Still, I needed an oil change and knew the guys at the Lube Center would check everything so I went there. And yes, they really, truly, check everything about the car. Filters, hoses, fluids, everything. There was nothing wrong with the brakes (I honestly didn't think there was) but the transmission fluids needed changing. Even the guys at the center didn't realize how badly until they actually flushed it all out. It was pretty bad.
Now, the truck is running beautifully and there aren't any pesky lights whatsoever popping up on the dashboard. Oh, and the Lube Center? They have doggie treats, much to Miss Ginsie's delight. She found the entire experience very entertaining because you stay in your truck and watch the mechanics while they work. You don't leave your truck at all, which is awesome to me. And to Ginsie because she got to say "Hi" to everyone at that center. Silly fluffy puppy!
