isabelladangelo: (Ever After Question Look)
I know a lot of you on my F-list have looked at this dress before. I just managed to get my hands on a linen that is the exact same color so, I figured I might try to make this dress as well as the other Campi one.

While looking at the dress closely, upon the Web Gallery of Art, I noticed that the dress looks like the right opening flaps slightly over the left. I'm guessing hooks and eyes closure? Any other ideas?

Today they were having 60% off a lot of their linen and a rather good sale overall in Joanns. I can't resist a linen sale. I went in for size 6 knitting needles and came out with those plus four new fabrics and thread...

I'm think an 18th c day dress out of this one. I'm not sure why, but the design just looks 18th c to me..

The other linen fabric I got today. The top is for a skirt to work. I only got a couple of yards of that one. The goldenrod is for the Fruit Seller Campi dress and the rose red (I know, it looks orange in the picture but it isn't) I'm thinking another basic early 1500's Italian with side lacing. They are easy to make and I like wearing them.

Speaking of early 1500's Italian dresses...My latest one. The dress is out of the *gorgeous* ocean teal blue silk and has a raspberry pink velvet trimmed neckline. It side laces and I'm thinking this would be a good dress to wear Sunday of War Week.
