isabelladangelo: (Elizabethan-esque)
On the Renaissance Festival boards, one of the ladies posted this link:

http://www.weissgallery.com/catalogue/weiss25years.htm

It's a highly interactive catalogue with a great deal of Elizabethan Portraiture -many of which I've never seen before. The colors are vivid (like PINK! and YELLOW!) and the pictures are clear. You can zoom in a good bit too. Really, it's just an awesome page to play with.

EDIT:

Polka Dots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:-D That is all.

Or, at least, to me!

The knit jacket (aka, a cardigan)is purple and silver. It's from about 1600-1625 according to the website. I've seen the other three before (the white English one, the coral and yellow Italian one, and the green and yellow Italian one) but not the purple one. It's in pieces so you can get a really good idea of the pattern for it. It looks fairly simple in shape but not in the design elements (the pattern on the jacket is intricate but the actual jacket in shape isn't that complicated at all).
