I plugged the sewing machine in when I got home and....nothing. There is no power switch, there wasn't a way to turn it on, and the light for the sewing machine was completely blown out. So what do I do? I order a new belt, a new rubber washer for the bobbin winder, and take the entire machine apart.

The machine is very interesting. must take apart machine... )

I just finished getting the pressure foot to move. It turns out that the problem was that the needle holder was hitting the pressure foot and the pressure foot refused to go down. At all. I managed to pry it loose, degunk it, add some WD-40 and it works! Now, tomorrow, I'm going to figure out how the heck to get the sewing needle in. I'm thinking pipe cleaners might be in order...and more WD-40. (This machine probably hasn't been used in uh...well, since I've been born at least. It needs a bit of cleaning and help to get it from a very lovely end table to a good, working, all metal sewing machine again)
