Christmas!
Dec. 7th, 2010 10:08 pmI got my Christmas tree today. Really, Mom got it for me on Friday but, today, I got it at my house. This means I can finally put up the lights! You see, I wasn't sure how many light strings it was going to take for the tree so I didn't want to start putting lights up and being short a few. Once the tree was up, I put lights on it (it took two strings but I added a third because what else are you going to do with the big bulby ones?) and then put lights on the kitchen window...and the front door...and the dining room window. I want to put lights on the sewing room window and upstairs in the guest bedroom too but I'm going to wait until tomorrow. I don't have an outdoor socket so no outdoor lights (Oh dear God, I don't think the neighbors would recover if I started to really decorate outside... Right now, I'm trying to get all my "junky" Christmas stuff to put on a very tiny pine tree that straddles my yard and the next door neighbors yard. It's okay -the next door neighbors are trying hard to be as bad as I am about decorating to make up for the rest of our court...anyone know where we can get some battery operated lights?)
I knew I had a lot of vintage ornaments but I forgot that I went crazy a few years ago at a Target after Christmas sale and bought up every single peacock ornament they had left. I will have a very purple, pink, and turquoise Christmas tree which works since those are my favorite colors...
Tomorrow, finish the Christmas Dress and decorating the Christmas tree.....
