Mom changed her mind on the Brown linen striped dress and the aqua dinner gown; which is fine. I showed her the linen I originally planned for her jacket -which is a lovely linen floral- and she liked it much better in person. (She had only seen cell phone photos). She then went through some of my fabric and saw the pinky rose orangy colored linen I've dyed twice and it's still not red. She loved that and it matches the floral pretty well so the pinky orangy rose linen is now going to be a petticoat.
I've cut out both the jacket and the petticoat. Mom also liked the idea of a forest green silk dinner gown rather than the aqua. *grin*
While she was in the ladies room at my house, I tore everything off the dummy mummy and grabbed my green silk petticoat, throwing it on the dummy mummy. Mom comes down and looks at me very funny because she had just said she wanted the green silk gown. Of course, she asks how I made it so quickly because she was only upstairs for five minutes, tops. I did break down eventually and tell her that it was my petticoat from my 12th Night dress but it was pretty funny.
So, I've decided on a purple silk bodiced petticoat for under my Regency gown. After all, I don't have purple covered yet....
