I have a lovely new dress dummy who has hips. Yay!
I have made a partlet this week and I plan on making a matching green dress. I've also cut out another partlet I plan on hand sewing.
Mom is getting a new gown. We'll see if she like early Venetian as much as I do. It will be out of the teal fabric dot com wool I have. I should have enough for her gown and a few yards to make another one for me. We'll see.
The remake gown is coming along. It is...pieced. I wore holes into the original gown (that I probably should patch but they are smallish and at the hem...) I took out the front faux open gown flaps from the front of the skirt, cut out a new front bodice, and I plan on cutting out gauntlets for a more late 1490's/early 1500's look.
I've also been knitting a scarf for Mom and I'm thinking of making a pair of silver "chainmaille" sleeves and a hood for my nephew to play knight. He'll get a tabard as well.
BTW, anyone know anything about a Janome MyLock 234D ?
