Yeap! They scare away most of the more annoying insects (and a few claim to scare away rodents as well). I got mine at Home Depot. They look like glade plug-ins almost and have an outlet to the side so you don't loose the outlet. You can still plug things into the spider scarers. I need to go pick some more up tonight so I'll get the offical name and prices. From what I remember it was like $5 each so they are well worth the money.
