Thanks! I’ve made 3 of the sorting hat cakes now. The last one was the best by far, but I didn’t get any good pictures of that one. I took it to the HP convention in Canada in Aug of 07. Go right ahead and borrow any of the cake designs that catch your eye. Let me know if you want to know how any of them were made. The bow on the top of that one has to be done ahead of time so it can harden and dry. The ribbon that goes down the sides has to be done right on the cake or it will crack when it bends around the edge of the cake. If you need any technical terms or “how to” information feel free to ask.
Yeah I dodged the catholic school shtick. I was the only one in my family to go to public school until my baby brother left St. John’s. Kicked out for Victorian boots?! If the Victorian’s were not conservative I don’t know who is. You’d think they have wanted everyone to wear them. They’d have looked great with the yellow pleated skirts.
