I got the real 18th c shoes and they are so cute! Clearly for a little boy since the shoes are a bit smaller than my hand. The buckles are about the same size as my thumbnail. I'm going to try and clean them up a but and then do a bit more research on them. I *think* they are mid to late 18th c (pointed toe which is pre-Revolution but I'm thinking the buckles might help me track down the date a bit more...)

I get my 18th c reproduction shoes on Thursday. Woohoo!

I also get the household fabric I designed tomorrow. Yay!

Now...to go work on Dad's Halloween outfit and then tackle Mom's. I bought a lovely navy blue uncut corduroy at Joann's for Dad's Steampunk coat and a steely blue silk for the lining as well as the vest. Mom is getting a green velvet jacket, a green silk (bustle?) skirt, and a corset. ...All by the day before Halloween.
