It's not the best picture but you can sort of see the dress. I'm wearing the ugly stays again because I realized I cannot lace myself up from behind and needed a pair of front lacing stays. They are the same pattern. I actually used half of the ugly stays as a pattern to create the pretty stays.

The dress is out of the $1.98 green silk that Fabric.com was selling. Honestly, it's some of the best silk I've ever worked with. It's just a tad too slubby to be a taffeta. It moves so wonderfully and feels awesome.

I'm wearing my quilted petticoat underneath for warmth but it also helped with puffing out the skirt. I made a pair of false hips out of some spare calico and polyester stuffing.

You should just really ask someone to take pictures of you when you wear the ready-dress. It is impossible to really see anything. I would love to see it on you in a flash photography from the front.

BUT the chandelier does add to the feeling of this all :)

I love your pictures, it really was like stepping back in time. But I'm afraid I couldn't really make your dress out at all, what color was it?
