St Paddy's Day or Alison Weir

March 10. I can either go to the Saint Paddy's Day bloodbath which I & Miss Ginsie would love to go to or I can go and see Alison Weir give a day long presentation of the Tudor Era Queens and maybe get her latest book about Jane Grey signed. I have no idea which one to go to. I've never been to a local SCA event that was over $20 so I know St. Paddy's Day won't be much $$ and the Presentation will be $85 for Smithsonian members but it's a presentation by Alison Weir! Argh!!

I finished my neck hemming! I would have finished the whole outfit if I hadn't gotten ill. Also, I have sent your personal recommendation via email, as the letter said I could do so. I apologize for its last minute nature; I was ill this whole week. Ugh. I am doing much better now as you can tell from my being up at 1 am. I look forward to seeing you next Thursday. I really expect you to get this home. I basically said that you were a wonderful candidate. haha. Which you are, really.

Woohoo! Pennsic garb! Gotta love Pennsic garb. I need to "update" some of mine before Pennsic even thinks about coming around.

I better get my act together for the whole garb thing. Also, I think I'm going to machine sew certain seams for the next outfit. Being authentic only goes so far for one's wardrobe. I'm sure that if a Viking found some village with a sewing machine, the sewing machine would then be theirs.

the big pull for the other event is I get to see a lot of friends and bring Miss Ginsie. I love bringing my pup places because she is such an extravert and I'm...not quite as extraverted. :-)
But to sit in on a presentation by Alison Weir on the Tudor Queens? I really would love that too...

I know. I am leaning towards Alison Weir right now. As much as I love taking the pup to events, I know there will be another she can come to. Alison Weir might not come back to DC for a while...
