Working on a dress

For Sapphire Joust I thought I'd go all Hearldry...1530 Italian style. ::insert evil laugh here::

I'm making the gown in this style out of white silk and blue silk ribbon. (Can we say Atlantian colors? ::giggles::) I'm also adding little blackspears out of black silk all along the hem of the gown. Since the skirt will have four yards of material in it, I'm making 12 blackspears to place every foot around the hem. It should look interesting when it's done.

I cut out the dress last night during NCIS. Tonight, I should be able to sew it all together and then tomorrow I can start to add the evil lil blackspears to the hem. Hmm...that plus Miss Ginsie's outfit should get extra points for the Hearldry part of the competition, right?

mmmmm, pretty. I need to do one in Meridian Colors. Would that be white dress or black dress .....
