...I hate mondays....
Jun. 18th, 2007 08:36 pmI went to training again today and I'm really about to just tell the trainers to stuff it. Learning about critical thinking is elementary school stuff. I literally sat there today and colored. With scented markers. Bethany and I agreed; the light green one smells best. It's bad when you and your classmates have an average age of 35 and you are all comparing drawings in class because you are way too bored with the presentation via powerpoint. Hint to instructors: Powerpoint is NOT a lesson plan. No adult can sit through 8 hours of powerpoint slides. It's mindless torture.
Anyways, I left my booklet for the class with my supervisor and I'm going to collect it in the morning. Hopefully she'll have a couple of minutes to look over it and prevent anyone else from going through this hell. Yes, it's that bad. When they ask such questions as "Can you clarify what the person is really asking for?" in a class of college grads it's really that bad.
In other news, I mailed ebay stuff. I'm still waiting on my fairy wings from over a month ago. There isn't really a rush; the MD fairy fest isn't until next year but I still want my Pink opalescent laveder and mint outlined fairy wings because they are just so *that*.
I did do a mock up for the chemise seen with the Helena Snakeborg strawberry gown. I have the materials to make it; I just wanted to make sure I didn't screw up on my linen with this style chemise. It's actually fairly easy...I just need to embroidery it first and that's the really hard part of this gown for me.
The psudeo-Venetian will get worked on tomorrow night. I just haven't had the time. After I finish that up, I'll quickly finish up the toddler gown for a client in blue and then, hopefully, work on the Helena gown and maybe the ever after gown thats material is stashed in the corner of the room....
