Minor Health Update

I have pneumonia. I went to the ER again yesterday because I really couldn't take much more of this. I can't stand up for long; I'm constantly dizzy and seeing things (stupid migraines); and then there is the cough. About every fourth or fifth time I cough I stop breathing for half a minute. It's highly annoying. The doc who was a patient in the ER was shocked when, after THREE HOURS, they still hadn't taken me back. She said with my horrible cough, she thought I'd be one of the first ones back. But oh well...

When I did get back, they drugged me up pretty quickly. (I guess my coughing was disturbing the other patients?) They took me back for X-rays and I could hear the X-ray techs saying "Look! It's fresh! See all the liquid down there?" I wasn't sure who they were talking about until an hour later when my ER doc came back and said my right lung looked like I had pneumonia. Fun. So, I'm at my parents again today. Mom was the one that took me in to the ER last night. I'll probably be here for a while. I hate being sick....

I'm familar with that concept. I'm very used to being stuck in an empty exam room at various doctors offices because, while they aren't yet ready to see me, leaving me in the waiting room makes people unhappy. I'm also used to the fact that by the time I get around to calling the Doc's for an appointment my cough sounds bad enough that I generally get a same day appointment.

Feel better - coughing that bad isn't fun!

No it wasn't. I'm so much better now. The docs in the ER gave me the good meds. :-)

Baby, This is a Minor Health issue!! :-) I hope you take care of yourself and get better soon!! Yikes...being sick in the summer is s*cky enough but to have Pneumonia...double zoinks!!! *hugs*

::hugs:: All better! Well, mostly. I was thinking (remember, brain still pretty much on meds) we should so have coordinating outfits at least once this year....
