Masque gown again

pinkdiamond just posted a few more links to some gorgeous early 16th c German paintings. This one, http://www.flickr.com/photos/92259718@N00/952361950/, also has the strap across the neckline but chemise showing at the bust thing going on; very similar to the masque gown. This painting was found, by pinkdiamond in Sixteenth Century German Panel Paintings, by Janos Vegh (' over both the o and the e), Corvina Press, Budapest 1972. Translated by Susanna Horn Revised by Felicity Lywood.
