It's not the best picture but hopefully you get the idea. I made this French hood to match my pink Tudor gown. It went nicely but I think I'll have to remake the gown again...it's still too big! Yes, I know the gems on the hood aren't period...but they match the rhinestones on the gown. ::giggles:: It's actually not as bad as it sounds. I've worn the gown to many SCA events and no problems. They style is correct, it's the beading on it that isn't but the beading goes well with it. I might update it even more next year and put period appropriate beading on it, such as pearls and silver beads, but for now, I like my first Tudor gown looking semi-silly.
The bodice to the gown of evil. I'm sorry I didn't get a good picture of the full gown. I actually made a matching chemise, complete with "blackwork" (sewing machines are fun!) that everyone loved. The gown really came out a lot more nicely than I anticipated. I might actually wear the thing again. :-) Maybe even to an SCA event ::giggles evilly::
