Spinnin' and knittin'
Nov. 5th, 2005 12:42 am| The problems with me spinning yarn. I have a drop spindle. I got it a few weeks ago. It's all Lady Caroline's fault. Really. It is. I saw her spinning all season and thought I needed it one. Mine's a top whirl. For those that have seen Lady Caroline spinning, mine's backwards. So, I finally got some nice fluff to spin. It might be wool. I'm not sure. It's very pretty. All different colors. Mostly pink. Some greens, blues, purples, and yellows, but mostly pink. No natural colors for me. :-) Anyways, I started to spin and left the spindle and the fluff on the couch. Not a big deal. I went to the store, got my free coffee from my brother at Starbucks (Pumpkin Spice is the best!) and came home to find..... ...The fluff had attacked the fluff. Yes, my fluffy white puppy, Miss Ginsie, decided that there was an animal hiding in the pink fluff that I was spinning. There were bits of fluffy pink fluff everywhere. I managed to salvage it but Miss Ginsie was in trouble. Knitting: I've started knitting at work. One of the perks of working on the night shift...nothing happens. So I knit. I'm making a blanket. Or a surcote. I haven't decided. it's only four inches long right now. So I have time to decide. |
