I didn't have enough buttons so I stopped the beading on the sides. If I manage to find more of these buttons before the faire, I'll definatly use them. If not, oh well. Somehow, I doubt many people will care.
The french hood came out beautifully. Not only does it have close to 100 freshwater pearls, it also has black onyx beads across the top. Across the bottom, I ran into a problem with the gold beads; I ran out of em. I only needed two more to complete the project. So, rather than going back out to the store, I searched my collection of beads and found two vastly differently gold beads. One is an odd almsot diamond shaped roundel with incised lines. The other is a gold filigree bead like I used for the girdle. Since it's on the side, I don't think anyone will notice unless they read this. :-P
I made the girdle/belt a while ago when I was first contemplating this gown. It has faux pearls, lil gold filigree things with fake black rhinestones and then a heck of a lot of jasper. I have no idea why I decided to go from the faux plastic pearls to the gorgeous real jasper but oh well. It actually looks nice. I'm wearing it in the photo but I don't think it comes in clearly.
Tell me what you think!

Date: 2005-08-04 12:57 pm (UTC)You might want to put the picture behind an LJ Cut as it affecting the friends pages.
So when are you wearing it??
Sorry!
Date: 2005-08-04 01:01 pm (UTC)I'm wearing it the first day of the faire; hopefully. As long as it stays below 90 the first day, or close there to, I'm wearing it.
