Snow and Linen!

It's snowing! I don't care how sick I am, I LOVE snow. We have a dusting so far and they are predicting at least a couple of inches. This is one of the reason everyone in my family has 4 wheel drive vehicles...driving in the snow in Washington DC. It's a unique experience.
As one of the local radio show dj's said yesterday when he heard the weather report "I've lived here long enough to know to say this: Abandon your vehicles! Just pull over and run! Now!" Really. When I first moved here as a teenager, my brothers, parents and I started a lovely little game that we still play whenever there is even the threat of snow. The game is called "Count the cars". The idea is very simple, the more abandoned vehicles you see by the side of the road the day before or of snow, the great chance it will be a decent sized snow storm. For the rest of you that live in the metropolitan area of the murder capital of the world, I suggest trying this fun little game with you and yours. Oh, and don't count the cars with the orange tape. Trucks count as double.
So, Linen. Somehow, the linen I ordered ended up at Mom & Dad's rather than at my house which is actually a good thing since I'm at Mom & Dad's. (Yeah, I'm really that sick. They draw the line at wheezing) The cream linen seems a bit too heavy for a chemise but might be good for a summer dress or jacket. The pink linen will be perfect for whatever I figure out I want it to be. I'm thinking maybe a Napelotana coat and something else because if have 4 yards of it and it's 90" wide.
