Ginsie Update

Ginsie just had a seizure. It's the first one she's had in a very long time. I think it's been about a year or more since she had her last one. Thank God I decided to stay at Mom & Dad's after their Christmas party rather than drive home. She might have had the seizure on the drive home! That would NOT have been fun.
She's okay now. She had to smell everything and everyone again. The best way to describe Ginsie after a seizure is that she's like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. She wakes up and does the "And you were there! And you were there!" type of motions, tail waging and smiling going around to everybody. Once she realizes that she is home (or a place she knows well) and she is surrounded by the people she knows, she relaxes and only wants to a) go out and then b) food.
She recovered really quickly from this one. She only had the "drunken puppy" moment for about three minutes. She use to have that for as long as an hour! So, the medication is working. The doc warned me that even with the meds, she will have seizures, they just won't be often.

Thanks! She's back to being herself this morning. She woke me up to go out and eat around 7:30 so I know she's much better.

Thanks! She's currently investigating under the dining room table to see if we possibly missed any particle of food last night. I think that means she's better.
