When making Medieval Gingerbread; ground the bread crumbs before putting them in.


I didn't. It looks like a slab of ground beef because I over did it on the red food coloring. It doesn't taste half bad it just...looks like ground beef and tastes like a ginger flavored rock candy mass....which is about all it is right now. Oh well, going to the event anyway...minus the dessert.

Can you ice over the flaws? Nothing like gingerbread with icing, yum.

unfortunately, no. Medieval gingerbread looks and even tastes different than modern gingerbread. It's really good stuff and is supposed to be almost like ginger flavored gummy bears. Mine simply wasn't.

I might try it with just flour and see if that helps.....
