I finally found some silverware for my feast gear that I can live with. Believe it or not, I found it at K-Mart as part of the Martha Stuart collection. It's modern silverware but the handles are made to look like wood (it's plastic but you can't tell from a foot away) and are rounded and twisted making it look very middle ages ish. Yeah, it's still not perfect but for $25 for a full 4 piece modern setting? I'm not complaining. Besides, I needed more than the two knifes from two different silverware collections.... I have no idea where the knives went. I have all the spoons from each of the collections....

It's this set here (http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_10104_011W815805110001P?vName=For+the+Home&cName=Dishes%2C+Linens+%26+Tableware&sName=Flatware)

It looks a lot more wooden than in that picture. Really, you have to pick the thing up to know.

*spiff* I have something similar -- they almost look like turned-wood finials (or whatever the word is) that I got from a merchant here in the Barony.

Now, I got to get plates/bowl/etc. Mostly, it's just a hodge-podge of stuff. KWIM?

Yeap. For plates/goblets/bowls I bought this gorgeous red glass set that looks like 16th c Italian glass. It's "cut" on the bottom with designs (smooth eating surface) that are all geometric shapes. It's really a neat set that I got at the Marine Exchange and then got a few more pieces for it down at Williamsburg Pottery.

I use to have a very eccletic mix of stuff. Including a set of goblets that I'm going to sell at my next yard sale. They are your typically pottery painted 1970's goblet style mugs. :-) It didn't go with the "gold" plate and the silverware I originally had...

Sounds very pretty! I keep my eyes open for stuff like that.
