First, it's 11 degrees outside right now. Ouch.
Second, I hope everyone made it home safely from the Poe event. It really was a blast. I had a ton of fun and I'm stuffed! Corsets and eating a ton of food do not mix. Even if it's just a training corset.
I did a wild sewing spree this morning. I made my chemise (including cutting) this morning. Put the hooks and eyes on the dress from heck and added the lace to the nice yummy WARM coat. The only problem with the coat is that I didn't have a closure for it so my neck was very exposed and that wind was not nice. My arms were nice a toasty though!
I finally got to wear my bonnet that I must have bought 3 or 4 years ago off of ebay. It's in my favorite colors which is why I had to have it at the time.
I'll post pictures tomorrow. I'll probably work on Mom's dress next and then maybe to a striped 1790's (red and white). I have enough brown corduroy, I think, to get a decent 1770's gown out of it. I at least want one "practice" gown this time. That with a pink velvet front might just look neat.
I love meeting everyone that came and I did have a great time. Hugs to you all!
