isabelladangeloOkay, before everyone thinks I'm crazy, Ginsie loves fabric. She's just as bad as me. Her favorite fiber is linen but she's been known to like silk as well. Her favorite color is purple and therefore, anything purple is hers.
As I was shopping around, I came across one guy that was selling buttons and trim. I showed Ginsie one pretty purple and gold trim but she just looked at it and then looked away. I showed her a nice flat lilac trim, nothing. The guy behind the booth was smiling and probably thought I was crazy for showing a dog trim....until I picked up a cotton woven purple and black trim. Ginsie did her happy dance (She got up on her hind legs to get a look at the trim) and licked it.
The guy behind the booth's eyes just about popped out of his head. He looked at me and asked "Wait, she really does like purple?" I simply replied of course and explained that Ginsie needed a new cape and I promised her she could help pick out the trim. Still kinda in disbelieve he hid the trim for a second and then showed it to Ginsie again. She, again, jumped right up and looked at the trim, wagging her tail. He showed her another trim and...nothing. She looked at him like "where's the other one I want?" and simply sat there. He did that a couple of times, amazed that the dog knows exactly what she wanted. I got five yards of the trim.
I also got some buttons for my Pricilla the Pretty Pirate garb. I needed them for the pants and they were only a couple of bucks for a dozen.
Of course, I got jams and other little trinkets including another pair of earrings and some silk thread. I think I might make another Chemise and embroider it with Scarletwork. I'm not sure yet. I have to finish the german gown and the make the the pirate outfit and then the 12th night gown before I can think about that.
