It looks like I'll get the Military trailer...so far. It's 7" x 10" and looks perfect for what I have planned ::insert evil laugh here::. I also found some gorgeous old stained class windows on ebay (both the bottom and the top of the window are stained glass) so I'm trying to get those as well. They guy that is selling them lives almost half way between my house and where I need to go to pick up the trailer so that will be awesome if I win 'em.

A few random things
Mar. 6th, 2008 12:16 pmFabric.com is having a sale again. All of their Lightweight linen blend fabric is $3.89 a yard. It's good for summer dresses. They also have this almost Elizabethan looking knit gauze (97% cotton) that I think would look awesome made into a chemise...so I bought 5 yards of it. :-)

mistressfetch: Just read the job titles. Don't read what they actually are, just the titles. Once you get to Beer tester, it gets uh...into either very poor editting or someone has a sense of humor...
I worked on the fairy gown a bit more this morning. It's coming along nicely. I think I'll take part of the dark bodice and make it into a bustle (I know, it sounds wierd). I have tons of this poly purple organza I bought YEARS ago that I can make into a "flowing" back layer. The top of the organza will be hidden by a semi circle piece of the beaded bodice...so it will look like a clip on veil attached to the back of the dress. Does that make sense? Anyway, that's my plan for the back right now.
Mom's dress will get cut out tonight. I hope...

Mom's Tunic
Mar. 6th, 2008 10:49 pmSo I didn't cut out the dress but I did work on the embroidery for Mom's tunic. I decided to keep the tunic the lemony yellow and just add some blackwork to the collar.

The pencil outline is what I plan on doing. It's a simple Celtic knotwork design. This tunic over a simple dress should look spiffy, hopefully.
