and wow. The quality of the items and searches has gone down drastically. I mean, this is a good thing in a way and hopefully Ebay will get the message that sellers won't put up with the new rules but wow. All I want is a few yards of true blue velvet for less than $10 a yard, 4 or 5 yards of yellow silk, and a little over 2 yards of black silk. Nothing. I was getting the weirdest stuff coming up when I searched for black silk. Remember all the dupioni silk that use to be for sale on Ebay at any given time? No longer there. Despite searching for Yard* and clicking the search titles and descriptions box, I was still getting jackets, skirts, shirts, and other things that didn't have a thing to do with yardages. Actually, that's what most of the search was, jackets and shirts. I did see some cute monkeys in jester hats fabric that would be hilarious as seat cushions for the Baron of my household but they had very little to do with black silk.
So, ebay is clearly going down the tubes. I just hope the execs realize it and manage to rescue it, bring it back to the way it was four or five years ago, and not let it go the way of the dinosaur. Now, to go troll around on craigslist for blue cotton velvet.....
