So I kept fiddling with Mom's machine and it just would not work. I could get all of 8" of stitches out of it before something would go wrong so...I decided to see if I could try and fix my machine. My machine around oh...8 or so months ago decided it really liked making fringe on the underside of any seam. Big, knotted, looped fringe. Realizing now that this is the tension and that I don't want to spend $200 just to get two sewing machines fixed, I decided to try and play with it myself. It took all of five minutes. ::headdesk::

Really, it was just the tension. So, after all that loveliness, I have a quilted petticoat (out of the orange quilted material I got from [livejournal.com profile] jennylafleur) and a steely blue/green caraco jacket (1780's in style) to go with it. Now, to go to Joanns right now and get ribbons for the front of it!
